KLAC Raises $135,000 For Paralyzed Veterans Of America

CLEAR CHANNEL Sports KLAC-A (AM570 FOX SPORTS)/LOS ANGELES raised a record $135,000 during its fifth annual PARALYZED VETERANS OF AMERICA "Help a Hero" radiothon and online auction.

Hosted by STEVE HARTMAN, VIC "THE BRICK" JACOBS, PETROS PAPADAKIS and ROB DIBBLE, the event lasted seven hours and included a call-in from UFC President DANA WHITE with a $5,000 donation, a $10,000 check presentation by LOAN MART with EDDIE MONEY that an anonymous donor matched, and appearances by TOMMY LASORDA (who made an impromptu dinner auction that drew several donations), JAMES WORTHY, LUC ROBITAILLE, LEANN TWEEDEN, and RAY "BOOM BOOM" MANCINI.
