CUMULUS MEDIA News/Talk 760 WJR-A/DETROIT afternoon host MITCH ALBOM will emcee the first-ever MITCH ALBOM S.A.Y. DETROIT Radiothon, a 15-hour celebrity charity fundraiser live broadcast at the SOMERSET COLLECTION NORTHSIDE GRAND COURT in TROY on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 27th.
Celebrities confirmed as a part of the 6a-9p broadcast include actors HUGH JACKMAN and HANK AZARIA, director/actor KEVIN SMITH, late-night host CRAIG FERGUSON, author STEPHEN KING, musicians LYLE LOVETT and TED NUGENT along with DETROIT sports figures. All monies raised during the broadcast supports the S.A.Y. (Super All Year) DETROIT charities.
"This is going to be an unprecedented event, the likes of which we’ve not yet experienced in DETROIT," ALBOM said. "It’s a day filled with celebrity guests, volunteers and community leaders all working together with one goal in mind: to raise money and support local Detroit charities during the holiday season. The surprises could get kind of wild -- we’re planning on giving away a couple of houses during the broadcast!"
