  Congratulations to Classical WFMR/MILWAUKEE, which celebrated its 50th birthday TODAY (6/26).
  The station was signed on by JAMES G. BAKER and HUGO KOETH from studios at the BAYSHORE SHOPPING CENTER on JUNE 26, 1956 at 96.5 FM; after new owners flipped the station's format in 1983, the format and calls were revived at 98.3 FM and, later, moved to 106.9 in DECEMBER 2000. It is presently owned by SAGA COMMUNICATIONS.
