Televisa Bid For Univision Lower Than Originally Reported

That late bid from the GRUPO TELEVISA-led consortium for UNIVISION may have been a lot lower than expected, with the NEW YORK TIMES reporting that the bid came in at $35.75 per share, a quarter less than originally reported. 

The bid, along with HAIM SABAN's group's bid of $35.50/share, may lead to UNIVISION calling off the auction. The company had initially been looking for a $40./share bid but had lowered its expectations before taking bids.
