Former KLAC Dir. Of Public Affairs Sam Benson Dies At 90

Condolences to family and friends of former longtime KLAC-A/LOS ANGELES Dir./Public Affairs and Public Service and personality SAM BENSON, who died NOVEMBER 12th at 90, according to the LOS ANGELES TIMES and LA OBSERVED.

BENSON (born SAM BENSUSSEN) started his career in SAN LUIS OBISPO before his long run at KLAC (1947-84).  He served as Editorial Director for KTTV (TV) before his 1987 retirement.
