WTDY/Madison Drops Talk Format, Fires Staff

MID-WEST FAMILY Talk WTDY-A-F/MADISON has laid off its staff and has flipped to a CHRISTMAS music stunt.

CBS affiliate WISC-TV reports that the entire on-air, news, and traffic staff, including morning host JOHN "SLY" SYLVESTER and, from various reports, news anchors SHAWN PREBIL, DYLAN BROGAN, ANY BARRILLEAUX, and CRYSTAL MCKENZIE, were let go TODAY except for one employee.  OM RANDY HAWKE told the TV station that the new format has yet to be determined.  The station's website has been replaced by a "Happy Holidays!" message.
