ARK-LA-TEX, LLC is selling Adult Hits KBYB (101.7 BOB FM)/HOPE, AR and Talk KTFS-A-F and Sports KCMC-A/TEXARKANA, TX to TEXARKANA RADIO CENTER LICENSES, LLC for $2.1 million to the Seller and $650,000 to affiliated entities. The seller's JO-Al BROADCASTING, INC., licensee of Urban AC KTOY (JAMMIN 104.7)/TEXARKANA, AR, is also being sold to the same buyer for $300,000, and the seller's DJSG PARTNERS, LP, licensee of FM translator K288FI/TEXARKANA, TX, is also being sold to the same buyer for $350,000.
In other filings with the FCC, LIBERTY UNIVERSITY, INC. is selling FM translators W236BO/BURLINGTON, NC and W279BW/ROXBORO, NC to EASTERN AIRWAVES, LLC (CURTIS MEDIA) for $200,000. W236BO will rebroadcast Oldies-Beach Music WPCM-A/BURLINGTON, NC while W279BW will rebroadcast Regional Mexican WZTK (LA LEY 101.1)/BURLINGTON.
MT. WASHINGTON RADIO & GRAMOPHONE, L.L.C. has applied for a Silent STA for WBNC-A/CONWAY, NH because "Essential components of the transmission system of WBNC were decommissioned for use in operation of am broadcast station WPQR. To avoid confusion, it is important to note that effective NOVEMBER 27th, 2012 the call signs for these two stations will exchange."
MT. RUSHMORE BROADCASTING, INC. has requested a Silent STA for KMLD/CASPER, WY due to a move to a new site and problems described as "the individual with control over the sta site became impossible to work with (and took actions to purposefully destroy the station's good will and business) and the station had to temporarily discontinue broadcast operations from that site."
LIGHT OF LIFE MINISTRIES, INC. has filed for a Silent STA for FM translator W233BE/RICHMOND CENTER, ME while it awaits a move to a new tower.
ROD SANDERS has asked the FCC for Silent STAs for FM translators K265DS/EAGLE, CO and K266AM/GYPSUM, CO for "technical reasons."
THE RAFTT CORP. has closed on the sale of KEOR-A/CATOOSA-TULSA, OK to LA ZETA 95.7 INC. for $325,000.
And EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION has closed on the sale of FM translator K219KU/NEHALEM, OR to MEDIA INSTITUTE FOR SOCIAL CHANGE for $10,000.
