Karmazin: Sirius Would "Love To Buy" XM, But...

SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO CEO MEL KARMAZIN told analysts at a NEW YORK conference that he would like to buy XM SATELLITE RADIO but that the company's business plan "doesn't really involve" such a scenario, according to REUTERS. 

"We'd love to buy (XM)," KARMAZIN said at MONDAY's presentation, but noted that price and "the regulatory issue" would pose barriers to doing such a deal. Regarding SIRIUS being sold to another company, KARMAZIN said that he doesn't expect a sale "other than if it was in the best interests of our shareholders."
