COX Top 40 WAPE (95.1 WAPE)/JACKSONVILLE did its part to help THE AMERICAN RED CROSS for HURRICANE SANDY relief. 

WAPE’s THE BIG APE MORNING MESS auctioned off a signed guitar with all proceeds going to the relief efforts.  In the middle of the on air auction, WAPE GM BILL HENDRICH made it more interesting by pledging to match any bid up to $1,000. The winning bid was $1,500, bringing the total donation to $2,500!
