The syndicated STEVE GILL show raised nearly $5,000 for charity by playing off the big POWERBALL lottery jackpot fever TODAY (11/28), with GILL offering a share of a POWERBALL lottery pool to anyone contributing $100 or more to HELPING HANDS MINISTRY or the TENNESSEE BAPTIST CHILDREN'S HOMES. 44 listeners donated to be part of the POWERBALL pool.
“The chance to win a share of a half billion dollar prize was just the extra motivation that some people needed to write a check TODAY rather than wait until the moment seemed a bit more convenient, and as a result HELPING HANDS MINISTRY and the TENNESSEE BAPTIST CHILDREN’S HOMES are just a bit closer to our holiday fundraising goals," said GILL. “Win or lose when it comes to the lottery tickets, the kids and families benefitting from these charities have already won thanks to the generosity of those who chipped in today.”
GILL, based at CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WLAC-A/NASHVILLE and heard across TENNESSEE and in national syndication through RADIO AMERICA, is targeting goals of $5,000 for HELPING HANDS MINISTRY and $15,000 for the TENNESSEE BAPTIST CHILDREN’S HOMES.
