This morning, millions of American's dreams of becoming a multi-million dollar POWERBALL winner were dashed, but that didn't stop radio stations from having fun yesterday, finding all kinds of ways to fan the flames and perhaps land a winner among their listeners.
Take for instance, ENTERCOM Top 40 WXSS (103.7 KISS-FM) and sister Hot AC WMYX (99.1 THE MIX)/MILWAUKEE. MIX morning hosts KIDD O'SHEA and ELIZABETH KAY gave away POWERBALL tickets outside the PETTIT NATIONAL ICE CENTER in WEST ALLIS, while KISS morning man WES MCKAIN did the same outside the MARCUS MAJESTIC CINEMA in BROOKFIELD at noon yesterday (11/28). The stations grabbed some nice local press in the process.
Unfortunately no one scored the six winning numbers. That big prize will be split by two winning ticket holders -- onE just outside of KANSAS CITY, MO and the other from the PHOENIX suburb of FOUNTAIN HILLS. They'll split the grand prize of $587.5 million.
