Among LOS ANGELES PRESS CLUB 48th SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA JOURNALISM AWARDS winners for radio were CBS News KNX-A (for regularly scheduled newscast, breaking news report, documentary), SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA PUBLIC RADIO noncommercial KPCC (for feature, investigative/series, entertainment reporting/criticism, sports, use of sound), and SANTA MONICA COLLEGE noncommercial KCRW (talk/public affairs, news bureau). The awards were handed out SATURDAY night (6/24) at the MILLENIUM BILTMORE hotel in LOS ANGELES.
