Record Industry Veteran Rick Blackburn Dies

Condolences to the family and friends of NASHVILLE industry veteran, RICK BLACKBURN who passed away on FRIDAY (11/30) at the age of 70.

BLACKBURN’s career included Promotional stints at MERCURY and EPIC RECORDS, GM of MONUMENT RECORDS, VP/GM at CBS NASHVILLE, followed by President at ATLANTIC RECORDS/NASHVILLE. He also served as COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) President and was one of the founders of LEADERSHIP MUSIC.

Private services will be held at later date in his hometown of CINCINNATI, however no public services are being planned.
