As ALL ACCESS previously reported (NET NEWS 2/15), NASHVILLE will be home to the new JOHNNY CASH MUSEUM
Containing the world’s largest collection of CASH artifacts and memorabilia, the museum was originally slated to open this past summer. It has been rescheduled for an early 2013 opening.
The museum will be located in a former upholstery building located at 119 3rd Ave. South. It will include 18,000 square feet of memorabilia, a 250-seat auditorium, over 1,000 artifacts (including CASH’s 12th grade report card, personal dishes and a handwritten song that JOHNNY wrote a few days before he died in 2003.
The museum will also include a gift shop that offers autographed vinyl albums, books, T-shirts, photographs and other memorabilia. While the museum is in its final stages of construction, the gift shop is currently open daily from 11a to 7p (CT).
