Price For EMF L.A. Trimulcast Purchase: $8,788,500

The price that EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is paying to AMATURO GROUP OF L.A. LLC for the SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA trimulcast of KLST-F/FOUNTAIN VALLEY (ORANGE COUNTY), KLSI/THOUSAND OAKS (VENTURA COUNTY), and KLSN/ADELANTO (VICTOR VALLEY-HGH DESERT), plus a booster for KLST in MALIBU VISTA, is $8,788,500 ($2,138,500 cash, the rest in a 10-year promissory note).  The price was not disclosed when EMF took over programming on the stations, flipping them from the previous "PLAYLIST 92.7" AC/Adult Hits format to its own Christian Rock AIR 1 satellite format FRIDAY night at midnight under a network affiliation agreement (NET NEWS 12/3).

In other filings with the FCC, IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY is selling the construction permit for noncommercial KHGM/SIOUX CITY, IA to LITTLE PRIEST TRIBAL COLLEGE for $9,000.

3G BROADCASTING, INC. is selling Classic Hits-Beach Music WOYS (OYSTER RADIO)/APALACHICOLA, FL to PD MICHAEL ALLEN's EAST BAY BROADCASTING, INC. for $300,000.

CHRISTIAN LISTENING NETWORK, INC. is donating WBLA-A/ELIZABETHTOWN, NC to BALDWIN BRANCH MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH for no consideration.  The donation is being valued at $80,000.

WESTERN INSPIRATIONAL BROADCASTERS, INC. is selling four FM translators in WYOMING -- K299AG/ROCK SPRINGS, K232CU/GREEN RIVER, K298AE/LARAMIE, and K277BP/EDEN -- to VIC MICHAEL's CEDAR COVE BROADCASTING, INC. for $52,000.  The seller also closed on the sale of FM translator K210EM/SPRING CREEK, NV to RUBY RADIO CORPORATION for $12,350.

MANSFIELD CHRISTIAN SCHOOL has applied for a Silent STA for WSHB/WILLARD, OH because, it said, the school "currently does not have financial stability to continue the operations of WSHB and is diligently searching for supporters to resume normal operations."

BIRACH BROADCASTING CORPORATION has requested a Silent STA for KJMU/SAND SPRINGS, OK due to a tower site dispute.

HEMISPHERE MEDIA, LLC has closed on the sale of Spanish Talk KRLV-A and Brokered KLAV-A/LAS VEGAS to LOTUS COMMUNICATIONS for $800,000.  

SAN JUAN ISLAND COMMUNITY RADIO has closed on the transfer of noncommercial KSJU/FRIDAY HARBOR, WA to the BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF SKAGIT VALLEY COLLEGE in exchange for the "equipment and expertise that have been provided by SKAGIT to SAN JUAN to help put new station KSJU on the air."

1 A CHORD, INC. has closed on the sale of noncommercial Religion KTMU/MUENSTER, TX to SOUTH CENTRAL OKLAHOMA CHRISTIAN BROADCASTING INC. for $1,000.

MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY RADIO, LLC has closed on the sale of Country WACF/YOUNG HARRIS, GA to JEFFREY T. BATTEN's WJUL RADIO, LLC for $270,000.

INSPIRATION TIME, INC. has closed on the sale of noncommercial Contemporary Christian WYVL (THE LIGHT)/YOUNGSVILLE, PA and FM translator W264AT/WARREN, PA to CALVARY CHAPEL OF RUSSELL for $75,000.  The buyer also closed on the purchase of FM translator W254AQ/JAMESTOWN, NY from FAMILY FIRST FOUNDATION, INC. for $100.

And EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. has closed on the sale of FM translator K281BF/RIVERTON, WY to JERRY EDWARDS' EDWARDS COMMUNICATIONS for $11,225.
