GM, Host Jeff Schechtman Exiting KVON-KVYN

WINE COUNTRY BROADCASTING Talk KVON-A and Hot AC KVYN (99.3 THE VINE)/NAPA, CA GM and talk host JEFF SCHECHTMAN is exiting the stations, effective JANUARY 1st.  SCHECHTMAN has been GM at the stations for ten years and has been on the air at KVON for 16 years, hosting "LATE MORNINGS WITH JEFF SCHECHTMAN" and "AFTERNOON EDITION"; he will continue "LATE MORNINGS" online and with CRN DIGITAL TALK RADIO.

SCHECHTMAN said, “10 years is a long time in any one job, and with the possible potential sale of the station,  it seemed an ideal time to move on to pursue some projects I've been thinking about for quite some time. There is always a tendency to get stale after too long in one  job, and in one place."  The station's owner ROGER WALTHER said earlier this year that he is considering selling the combo.

“JEFF SCHECHTMAN has provided ten years of solid leadership for NAPA VALLEY’s only radio stations,” said WALTHER.  “It was time, after ten years, for JEFF to take on new challenges.”
