Speculation On WTKK's Future Heats Up

ALL ACCESS has been hearing talk about a format change coming to GREATER MEDIA Talk WTKK (NEWSTALK 96.9)/BOSTON for some time, but recent domain registrations for variations on "96.9 THE BEAT" and "POWER 96.9" have the talk heating up and speculation focusing on the possibility of a Top 40/Rhythmic format for the station.

GREATER MEDIA did not respond to ALL ACCESS' request for comment MONDAY, but spokesperson HEIDI RAPHAEL told the BOSTON HERALD, "“We deal in a business of attitudes and being responsive to the preferences of our audiences and the needs of our advertisers and communities.  We are continually exploring our options, looking for ways to improve our product and brands.”  But she added, “No decisions have been made on any changes to the format.”
