Condolences to the family and friends of COUNTRY EARL BAUGHMAN, who died MONDAY, DECEMBER 10th at GREENVILLE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL. He was 79.
BAUGHMAN operated a local restaurant, but was also a songwriter, performer and recording artist. GREENVILLE ONLINE notes, "In 1958, he penned a song, 'Say Mamma,' which has been recorded numerous times by different bands. He was a popular radio host for WESC and other stations."
"He was well-known for his radio show, the 'COUNTRY EARL Classic Music Show,' said said TAMMY HOLT, BAUGHMAN's daughter, "and he would play music from the 20s, 30s on up and could tell you everything you wanted to know about the artist and the song. He had a lot of loyal listeners."
