TENNESSEE-based, nationally syndicated talk radio show host STEVE GILL and his listeners set out to raise $5,000 for HELPING HANDS MINISTRY and another $15,000 for the TENNESSEE BAPTIST CHILDREN'S HOME during the holiday season. HELPING HANDS MINISTRY feeds the hungry in WARREN and DEKALB Counties in TENNESSEE and TBCH is home to approximately 150 orphan and foster children across TENNESSEE.
"Even in a tough economy it is gratifying to know that so many people are willing to give to help others," GILL noted in announcing the fundraising totals. "Thanks to the generous help of so many donors, large and small, we collected over $21,200 for the TENNESSEE BAPTIST CHILDREN’S HOME, including a $3000 gift from DREAMSTIME.COM to pay for the CHRISTMAS dinner for the kids and another $14,600 for HELPING HANDS MINISTRY to feed hungry people this holiday season and help to fund a facility for the organization to store food and to provide training and counseling during the coming year."
