Two staffers at CLEAR CHANNEL Hot AC WMTX (MIX 100.7)/TAMPA were fired two weeks ago after a taped weather update with profanity accidentally aired on the station. News and weather reporter DENNIS ROPER, who dropped an f-bomb on the tape but thought it would not be aired, and host AMY NEWMAN, who accidentally played the tape that was programmed into the station's automation system, were fired for the slip-up, reports the TAMPA TRIBUNE.
