Spanish Oldies KEYH-A and KXGJ/HOUSTON had huge ratings during their coverage of WORLD CUP soccer matches, according to ARBITRON PPM data culled from the WINTER '06 survey. The stations combined cume during the WORLD CUP coverage soared to 153,200 persons on JUNE 12th. Their regular programming of Spanish Oldies during MAY averaged 24,500 persons.
KEYH-A and KXGJ ranked 33rd and 38th in the WINTER '06 survey, respectively 12+ (MONDAY-SUNDAY, 6a-mid) According to the PPM results, the combined stations on JUNE 12th ranked fourth 12+.
ARBITRON VP/PPM Sales JOHN SNYDER notes, "The PORTABLE PEOPLE METER can document extraordinary sales opportunities for radio that simply can’t be tracked by the paper and pencil diary system.
