KALZ, KRZR-A To Become 'Power Talk'/Fresno In New Year

CCM+E/FRESNO plans to flip Hot AC KALZ and Sports KRZR to create a new Talk simulcast "POWER TALK 96.7 FM/1400 AM, The Valley’s next generation of News Talk," which will debut JANUARY 1st, 2013 at MIDNIGHT (PT). JAY BOHANNON has been named PD for the simulcast.

"We are excited to offer a contemporary and entertaining presentation of News/Talk that will transform the FRESNO radio landscape," CCM+E/FRESNO VP/Regional Market Manager JEFF NEGRETE said. "POWER TALK will be a game changer for the FRESNO market."

POWER TALK’s weekday programming lineup will feature GLENN BECK (6-9a), RUSH LIMBAUGH (9a-NOON), SEAN HANNITY (NOON-3p), BILL MANDERS (3-6p), ANDY DEAN (6-9p), JERRY DOYLE (9p-MIDNIGHT) and "Coast to Coast AM with GEORGE NOORY" from midnight-6a.

"We have assembled top-notch talent behind the mic and behind the scenes with PD JAY BOHANNON, who is one of the premiere News/Talk programmers in the country,” CCM+E Regional programming Mgr.  TONY BANKS said. "He has a proven track record of winning in every market he has led."
