CBS/D.C. Sets Special Programming For Sandy Hook Tragedy

CBS RADIO/WASHINGTON, D.C. announces it will air special programming across all its stations on FRIDAY morning beginning at 9:29a as part of its continuing coverage of the CONNECTICUT shootings. CONNECTICUT Gov. DAN MALLOY has called for a moment of silence and churches to ring their bells 26 times to honor victims exactly one week after the shooting at SANDY HOOK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL at 9:30a.
All News 99.1 WNEW will provide special coverage beginning at 9:29a to be aired simultaneously on all of CBS/WASHINGTON radio stations. WNEW’s NATHAN HAGER will anchor the special coverage and he will be joined by All News 99.1 WNEW reporter KEVIN PATRICK, who will be reporting live from THE BASILICA OF THE NATIONAL SHRINE OF THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION in WASHINGTON, D.C. where the bells will toll 26 times, once for each victim.
