Turi Ryder Joins America Weekend

ENVISION RADIO NETWORKS has named WGN/CHICAGO host TURI RYDER as the anchor AMERICA WEEKEND, which provides six hours of live programming on SATURDAYS and SUNDAYS and accommodates up to four local expert slots per hour, with frequent breakaway points for sports, weather or other local programming.

RYDER, whose broadcasting resume includes stations such as KFI, WLS, and KIRO, will broadcast live on AMERICA WEEKEND every SUNDAY from noon-3p ET. She follows AMERICA WEEKEND host PAUL HARRIS, who recently signed on to host 9a-NOON.

"There are things you try to avoid doing on your weekend -- like caulking the bathtub, or cleaning
your dog’s teeth -- but listening to your radio should not be one of them," RYDER said. "I’m looking forward to being part of a lineup that makes weekend radio listening a pleasure!"
