CHARLES CRAWFORD is selling the construction permit for a new FM in BENAVIDES, TX to ERNEST R. LOPEZ for $15,000.

In other filings with the FCC, YOUR CHRISTIAN COMPANION NETWORK, INC. is selling silent noncommercial KYCJ/CAMINO, CA to NEVADA CITY COMMUNITY BROADCAST GROUP for $3,000.

FIRST VENTURES CAPITAL PARTNERS, INC. is selling FM translator W257CR/MARSHALL, IL to EMMIS RADIO LICENSE, LLC for $36,000.   The translator rebroadcasts Country WTHI-FM/TERRE HAUTE.

APPLE 107.1, INC. has applied for an extension of its Silent STA for FM translator W292DV/NEW YORK while it waits for the FCC to act on its application to move to GLEN OAKS, NY (in QUEENS).

KM RADIO OF MERCED, LLC has closed on the sale of Spanish Religion KBKY (RADIO ALFA Y OMEGA)/MERCED, CA to RADIO ALFA Y OMEGA LLC for $755,000.  The buyer has been operating the station under an LMA since 2009.

And OLIVET NAZARENE UNIVERSITY has closed on the sale of FM translator W240BJ/CROWN POINT, IN to CALVARY RADIO NETWORK, INC. for $50,000.

The Commission also approved the sale of Urban WRBP (now Contemporary Christian and a K-LOVE affiliate)/HUBBARD, OH by BERNARD OHIO LLC to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION and the license renewals of Urban Inspirational WVKO-A/COLUMBUS, OH, Spanish AC WVKO-F (LA MEGA 103.1)/JOHNSTOWN, OH, Talk WASN-A/YOUNGSTOWN, OH, Oldies WGFT-A/CAMPBELL, OH, and WRBP, all over the objections of PERCY SQUIRE, head of former licensee STOP 26 RIVERBEND LICENSES, LLC.  SQUIRE contended that BERNARD, created by lender D.B. ZWIRN AND CO. LP and owned by ROCKLYNN RADIO LLC, is actually controlled by FORTRESS INVESTMENT GROUP, which took over ZWIRN's hedge funds in 2009, and SQUIRE also raised predatory lending and racial discrimination claims.  The Commission ruled that SQUIRE "has not presented specific factual allegations sufficient to either establish a prima facie case or raise substantial and material questions of fact that grant of the Renewal Applications would be inconsistent with the public interest."

The Commission approved the move of SOUTHWEST FM BROADCASTING Beautiful Music KAHM/PRESCOTT, AZ to SPRING VALLEY, AZ, closer in to the PHOENIX market, requiring channel changes for KEMP COMMUNICATIONS silent KVGG/SALOME, AZ and MARVIN VOSPER Variety KBUX/QUARTZSITE, AZ.  KEMP objected to the plan, saying that SPRING VALLEY is a "mere housing development" rather than a community, but the FCC said that it is a Census Designated Place worthy of an allocation.

And in a deal not yet filed with the FCC, FAMILY BROADCASTING AND MEDIA, LLC has sold Oldies WCKL-A (FAMILY 560)/CATSKILL, NY to LOVE CHURCH INC. for an undisclosed price, according to the ALBANY TIMES-UNION.
