Condolences to the family and friends of BUFFALO broadcast legend BEN FREEDMAN, who passed away at his home PLANO, TEXAS.
DON ANGELO share with us, "BEN grew up much like many of us did in the '50s and '60s, addicted to great American radio and hooked on the business. He was one of those high school kids who went to bed at night and after midnight crawled under the covers with one ear on a portable radio listening to the great AM signals from BOSTON, NEW YORK, PHILADELPHIA and CHICAGO. Because of his outstanding talents this BUFFALO kid became better known across the entire country with all the big major radio stations from BOSTON to L.A. as 'the Jingle Guy.' His radio jingles were so good that many stations used them to help enhance their brand identity and improve their market ratings, which they did. He did much to help BUFFALO's DANNY NEAVERTH build a reputation as a milestone legend in BUFFALO radio with the 'Danny Moves My Fanny' jingle. BEN was a friend to us all, a gentleman and a great broadcaster."
