Scott Taylor Promoted to GM at Star 99-1/NYC

PLLAR OF FIRE Christian WAWZ (STAR99-1)/NYC announces the promotion of SCOTT TAYLOR to GM, replacing the departing REV. S. REA CRAWFORD. TAYLOR has been involved in radio in the NY area since 1979.

In 1994 he joined WAWZ as host of the morning show, promoted to PD in February of 2000, then to Station Manager in September of 2003. In addition to his current responsibilities at WAWZ (STAR 99-1), SCOTT currently serves on the Executive Board of the NEW JERSEY BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION.

PILLAR OF FIRE Central Board of Trustees would also like to commend REV. S. REA CRAWFORD for his 40 years of service as GM of WAWZ. During his tenure REA oversaw a number of significant projects designed to enhance the ministry of WAWZ, including a format transition in 2003, the completion of the new tower facility in 2004 and the relocation of studios and offices last year after Irene's devastation forced the station from the campus.
