CBS RADIO's JOEL HOLLANDER told the INTEREP RADIO SYMPOSIUM in NEW YORK WEDNESDAY that CLEAR CHANNEL was being "divisive" by throwing CBS off its panel evaluating competitors to ARBITRON's Portable People Meter. CBS recently agreed to use the PPM pending approval by the MEDIA RATINGS COUNCIL. Urging other companies to adopt the PPM despite its flaws, HOLLANDER acknowledged that "everybody in this room believes there should be a competitor to ARBITRON" but that "this is not a perfect world."
