JANUARY 13th marked the 39th anniversary of the launch of BROOKDALE PUBLIC RADIO Triple A WBJB THE NIGHT/MONMOUTH-OCEAN. To commemorate this occasion, and to honor the man whose voice was the first heard over the airwaves of The NIGHT, the station’s on-air studio has been named THE RICK HANSEN STUDIO, in recognition of his dedication to local public broadcasting and to the students of BROOKDALE COMMUNITY COLLEGE.
PD RICH ROBINSON said, "RICK's love of radio and passion for teaching has set a standard that all of us who follow in his footsteps can only hope to emulate. All of us here at BROOKDALE PUBLIC RADIO are grateful to him, and are proud to name our on-air studio in honor of this pioneering broadcaster."
