TUCSON PADRES minor league baseball will air this season on CUMULUS Sports KCUB-A (1290 AM THE SOURCE)/TUCSON. The games aired last season on crosstown CLEAR CHANNEL Tejano KXEW-A (TEJANO 1600). TIM HAGERTY will return to call the action, with most games airing live and games bumped by scheduling conflicts with UNIV. OF ARIZONA sports to stream live at the PADRES website and air on tape delay on THE SOURCE.
"This new radio deal is exciting news for our fans," said PADRES GM MIKE FEDER. "1290 AM THE SOURCE has a strong signal and airs sports programming all day. It is a great fit for us."
"CUMULUS RADIO TUCSON and 1290 AM THE SOURCE are extremely excited about our broadcast partnership and being the new home of the TUCSON PADRES for the 2013 baseball season," said CUMULUS Market Manager KEN KOWALCEK. "All of us at CUMULUS RADIO and 1290 AM THE SOURCE look forward to 'hitting one out of the park' this season by partnering with MIKE FEDER and his team at the TUCSON PADRES."
