ENTERCOM Sports KGMZ (95.7 THE GAME)/SAN FRANCISCO will once again reward a local sports fan with a hosting gig on the station in "Lucky Break 2," the second annual "sports reality competition," starting on FEBRUARY 5th with an open audition in OAKLAND. GUY HABERMAN and GIANNA FRANCO will serve as hosts for the talent competition, with DAN DIBLEY and CHRIS TOWNSEND as "coaches."
“After seeing the amazing talent and passion that BAY AREA sports fans brought to Lucky Break last year, we had to bring Lucky Break back for 2013," said PD JASON BARRETT, who will judge the competition with JOHN LUND and celebrity athlete judges. "Lucky Break is a chance to win one of the best jobs in the world: becoming a sports radio talk show host in a major U.S. market.”
Last year's winner, now weekend host DARYLE "THE GURU" JOHNSON, said, “Winning Lucky Break has been more than I ever imagined. Having the forum to speak to the best athletes, guests, and listeners in sports and share my opinion every week is a dream come true.” Another contestant, ZAKARIAH SLENDERBROOK, who finished in the top 16, also ended up getting a weekend show and fills in as a sports anchor; both JOHNSON and SLENDERBROOK continue with the station.
