KQED PUBLIC MEDIA noncommercial News-Talk KQED-F/SAN FRANCISCO 9-11a (PT) "FORUM" host MICHAEL KRASNY is celebrating 20 years with the station, and the occasion will be marked with a special hour-long interview on FEBRUARY 15th. KRASNY will be interviewed by DAVE IVERSON, discussing his career and favorite stories from the past two decades of radio. FEBRUARY 15th has been declared "MICHAEL KRASNY Day" in SAN FRANCISCO by Mayor ED LEE.
“MICHAEL is a BAY AREA treasure,” said VP/GM JO ANNE WALLACE.. ”Since FEBRUARY of 1993, MICHAEL KRASNY’s FORUM interviews have set the gold standard for intelligence, depth and listener involvement.”
KRASNY added: “The late DAN SCHORR said working in public broadcasting was tantamount to finding his way into the Promised Land. On this occasion of 20 years of working in the Promised Land with dedicated people and educating and serving the public, conversing daily with authors, newsmakers, politicians, world leaders, artists, entertainers and scientists, I celebrate the good fortune the years and a wonderful journalistic team have brought.”
