Cumulus Merges 98.9 The Bone Into Rock 100.5 In Atlanta; Look For New Format On 98.9 Monday

Two Become One

The rumors that ALL ACCESS tipped you to in ATLANTA (NET NEWS 1/31) have come true, as the Active Rock music from WWWQ-HD2-W255CJ (98.9 THE BONE)/ATLANTA -- and some staffers -- will be merged into WNNX (ROCK 100.5), which will retain THE REGULAR GUYS in mornings and rock harder the rest of the day.

In fact, THE REGULAR GUYS were simulcasting on 98.9 this morning, and chatted with THE BONE's PD/afternooner AXEL, who confirmed he will be keeping his time slot on the move over to ROCK 100.5.

ROCK 100.5's midday diva LYNDSAY MARIE made it official, following THE REGULAR GUYS, kicking into METALLICA's "Enter Sandman."

ROCK 100.5 posted on its FACEBOOK page YESTERDAY, "Tomorrow morning, after THE REGULAR GUYS, things get a whole lot BETTER. LYNDSEY will be the first to bring it to ya...."

98.9 THE BONE took to FACEBOOK this morning to write, "Thanks to everyone for a great run on 98.9 THE BONE!!! Time for us to get bigger and better as we move everything to ROCK 100.5," and added "A BIGGER - BETTER Bone, now on ROCK 100.5!"

ALL ACCESS hears a new format will roll out on the 98.8 frequency MONDAY (2/4). ROCK 100.5 will simulcast all weekend until stunting begins at 10a.
