Radio One Blows Out 25 Candles

RADIO ONE is celebrating its 25th anniversary MONDAY night (10/3) with a LOS ANGELES invitation-only gala hosted by Chairperson/Secretary/Founder CATHY HUGHES and Pres./CEO ALFRED LIGGINS III. 

The company launched on OCTOBER 3, 1980 in WASHINGTON; the gala kicks off a year-long celebration that will include on-air promotions and special events, culminating in another gala at WASHINGTON's KENNEDY CENTER in AUGUST 2006, to be televised on the company's TV ONE cable network.
