Country Video Channel Launches With Support Of YouTube/Google

COUNTRY NOW, a new Country music video channel will be launching TODAY (2/6), in a partnership with GREENLIGHT MEDIA & MARKETING and YOUTUBE/GOOGLE. COUNTRY MUSIC NOW is the first Country music channel to be funded by YOUTUBE/GOOGLE.

Industry veteran BUTCH WAUGH, formerly EVP at SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE until he retired in 2009, will serve as consultant.

Four programs are being rolled out immediately, HEAR & NOW, which will be hosted by STOKES NIELSEN of the LOST TRAILERS, will feature the latest Country singles. OMC! (OH MY COUNTRY) will showcase Country fashion and style. COUNTRY DOWNLOAD will highlight Country news, reviews and be hosted by bloggers SAMANTHA STEPHENS, CLEAR CHANNEL Country WSIX/NASHVILLE afternoon personality ANT MAN and host SHANE TALLANT. Finally, I LUV MY COUNTRY will an animated show with user-submitted country music videos.
