Rising Artists Emerge On Spotify

In the latest email blast to users of its enormously popular music discovery service, SPOTIFY annouced that it is "introducing 10 rising artists" with the release of its most recent App Of The Week selection, EMERGE.

Billed as a tool that "visualizes the competition between ten emerging artists based on your listens, stars, and social media shout out," the app enables users to watch the competition play out in an engaging and visually appealing graphic timeline where the artists who attract the most attention and listens are rewarded with larger "billboards" that users can click to listen to their music and to find out more about them.

Top artists in the first two weeks of the competition include ARISTA NASHVILLE's KRISTEN KELLY, IAMSOUND's LORD HURON, WARNER BROTHERS' ATLAS GENIUS, INTERSCOPE's WILLY MOON, and REPUBLIC's PACIFIC AIR.
