The host of "AWARE TALK RADIO," a syndicated show on HIV/AIDS, has been sued by the state of ILLINOIS for allegedly diverting over $1.4 million of funding for his HIV TALK RADIO PROJECT non-profit company into his personal accounts. The suit by the state Attorney General alleges that CHRISTOPHER DECHANT and his company's board member KIM LEFFERT signed 21 checks in 1999-2004 that paid funds from the show into the account of NEW WORLD MEDIA, a fictitious company set up for DECHANT's use.
