Rod MacLeish Dies At 80

Condolences to family and friends of journalist, author, and filmmaker ROD MACLEISH, who died SATURDAY in WASHINGTON of natural causes at 80. MACLEISH served as News Dir. at WBZ-A/BOSTON in the early 1950s before transferring to LONDON to set up a news bureau for WBZ owner WESTINGHOUSE BROADCASTING CO. He later did commentary for CBS NEWS and NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO and served as announcer for PHILADELPHIA ORCHESTRA broadcasts and as an anchor for MONITOR BROADCASTING.
