The annual POLLSTAR conference and awards show, known as "POLLSTAR LIVE" will be held in NASHVILLE for the first time in 2014. In previous years, the three-day event has been held in LOS ANGELES, LAS VEGAS and NEW YORK.
The conference will open on FEBRUARY 19th at the OMNI HOTEL, and conclude with the 25th annual awards show on FEBRUARY 21st at the RYMAN AUDITORIUM.
"Over the years, Country music has broadened its demographic and gotten bigger and bigger over time. The interesting thing in moving to NASHVILLE is not only the revitalization of the city, but the many, many clients that use POLLSTAR and the number of people in NASHVILLE that work in the music business," said POLLSTAR CFO GARY SMITH.
NASHVILLE MAYOR KARL DEAN told THE TENNESSEAN, "I think it’s indicative of a lot of work that’s been done in the music industry to underscore the importance of NASHVILLE in the music world. I think this is recognition that NASHVILLE has a music infrastructure that is second to none in the U.S."
