WTVY Promotes David Sommers To PD, Creates New Morning Show

GULF SOUTH BROADCASTING Country WTVY/DOTHAN has promoted afternoon host DAVID SOMMERS to PD, upon the recent exit of PD MARK ALLEN.

SOMMERS has made some changes to the station’s on-air sound, including creating a new morning show team. Former WTVY personality MISTY MORGAN will return to join News Dir. JEROME JACKSON for wakeups. MORGAN and JACKSON replace MELODY LEE who resigned in FEBRUARY.

"I'm very proud to be a part of launching our new morning show with MISTY MORGAN and JEROME JACKSON, both of whom are veterans of the DOTHAN market. Moreover, having been PD here in the early '90s, I have an understanding of the magnitude and importance of WTVY's legendary and heritage status in the Tri-Sstates area.
