Chris Kelly Exits OM Post At KRQQ

Big news from TUCSON as CCM+E Top 40 KRQQ CHRIS KELLY revealed last FRIDAY (3/08) he would step down from his OM post -- a position he has held for just under a year.  

In a letter sent to the staff and to friends in the industry, KELLY explained, "This was my last week with CLEAR CHANNEL. While I love this business and always will, and am very appreciative of such an amazing company and the opportunities they've given me, I've just come to a place where I feel it's the right time for me personally to do something else for a while."

As to the future, KELLY continued, "While I am not completely shutting the door forever on other radio opportunities, I've long had a few creative projects I've wanted to work on and will pursue them now as "Plan A."  I will be moving back to NORTHERN COLORADO, which is still and has always been home. The blank slate and pure possibility before me is the most exciting part. I will do my best to resist the temptation of calling up KRAMER and questioning the decisions he makes as PD for (FT. COLLINS, CO sister Top 40) KSME. Kidding, he's doing a great job, I mean it. I'm so, so proud of him and the staff there.

KELLY closed by adding, "I appreciate your partnership, your mentorship and mostly your friendship, many of you for such a long time. There are many things I will miss, but it will definitely be the people I miss most. Simply put, thanks.
