Blake Shelton Plays Impromptu Free Show For WCKT Fans

WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE artist BLAKE SHELTON surprised SOUTHWEST FLORIDA-area fans during an intimate impromptu performance on SATURDAY (3/9) at CAPE CORAL’s DIXIE ROADHOUSE.

CLEAR CHANNEL Country WCKT/FORT MYERS PD TODD NIXON said that he received a call from BLAKE, asking to set up a "Fan Appreciation" concert that evening at the station’s partner nightclub. WCKT immediately obliged.

"When you get a call telling you to wake up, BLAKE SHELTON wants to play your club, you get right up!" said DIXIE ROADHOUSE’s LYNN PIPPENGER.

CAPE CORAL POLICE DEPARTMENT set up a detail unit, generators were brought in, news-media was on site, and lines quickly formed to see the free show.

"SHELTON is a class-act to do this for the fans. I still can’t believe I’m watching BLAKE SHELTON at DIXIE ROADHOUSE - THANK YOU!" NIXON said during the event.
