CORUS Talk CKNW-A/VANCOUVER "SPORTSTALK" host DAN RUSSELL is exiting the station, reports THE VANCOUVER SUN, citing an internal memo from PD TOM PLASTERAS saying that RUSSELL's contract, which expires on AUGUST 31st, will not be renewed.  "We are reviewing CKNW’s programming in the 9-midnight time slot with the intention of taking the station in a new direction," PLASTERAS' memo said.

"SPORTSTALK" is in its 29th year on CKNW.  RUSSELL joined the station in 1989.
