CLEAR CHANNEL has expanded its emergency preparedness capability with a new system of "hub cities" with backup equipment and a network of alternate studio sites. The "Disaster Assistance and Response Team" (D.A.R.T.) plan has been partially set up focusing on hurricane-prone areas, with remaining hub cities expected on line by the end of the year. Established hubs include include TULSA, PHILADELPHIA, ORLANDO, SAN DIEGO, ATLANTA, and SACRAMENTO, with emergency backup satellite systems already deployed in the GULF COAST states.
