All remaining claims against former MERLIN Talk WWIQ (IQ 106.9)/PHILADELPHIA morning co-host LARRY MENDTE by his old CBS O&O KYW-TV (CBS 3)/PHILADELPHIA co-anchor ALYCIA LANE have been dismissed, reports the PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS' MOLLY EICHEL.
LANE, now an anchor at NBC O&O KNBC-TV (NBC 4)/LOS ANGELES, sued MENDTE and the TV station for allegedly damaging her reputation after the incident involving an affair between the anchors and MENDTE subsequently accessing LANE's e-mail without her permission; MENDTE pleaded guilty to criminal charges in that case and served probation and community service. LANE then sued in Common Pleas Court, but Judge ALLAN L. TERESHKO dismissed the charges against KYW-TV in DECEMBER and has now dismissed all charges. LANE's attorney PAUL ROSEN told EICHEL that he plans to appeal the dismissal.
MENDTE left IQ 106.9 at the end of 2012. He continues to provide commentary for TRIBUNE television stations including WPIX/NEW YORK and WPHL-TV/PHILADELPHIA.
