POWER COUNTRY, INC. has requested an extension of its Silent STA for WGRO-A/LAKE CITY, FL due to flood damage at the antenna.
COCHISE BROADCASTING LLC has filed for extensions of Silent STAs for KGRK/GLENROCK, WY; KWYX/CASPER, WY; KWWY and KTWY/SHOSHONI, WY; KXWY/HUDSON, WY; and KCYA/ROLLING HILLS, WY because "efforts to get programming and program delivery in place have been delayed." JUAN ALEJANDRO IBARRA has closed on the sale of Classic Country KZZN-A (HIGH PLAINS RADIO)/LITTLEFIELD, TX to CODY WEST.
And CLEAR CHANNEL's CC LICENSES, LLC has filed an objection to the sale by HOUSTON CHRISTIAN BROADCASTERS, INC.of FM translator K285EU/MENDOZA, TX to COX RADIO, INC. for use to rebroadcast COX's Classic Country KKYX-A/SAN ANTONIO. CLEAR CHANNEL contends that the pricing of the translator -- $250,000 -- was below fair market value and predicated on COX withdrawing its complaint that HCBO "failed to provide dependable service, that HCBI violated multiple Commission rules and that HCBI 'committed more than three dozen material misrepresentations in its various applications'" and should lose its license. "(T)he Commission cannot fail to confirm that no pricing discount would be obtained by COX due to the pressure exerted by the COX Petition," writes CLEAR CHANNEL, which also asserts that "Clearly, the Commission must ... resolve to its satisfaction the substantial character issues set forth in the COX Petition before it may act on the Assignment Application."
