The WASHINGTON EXAMINER's JIM WILLIAMS is reporting that the WASHINGTON NATIONALS have exercised an out clause in their contract with BONNEVILLE News WTWP-A-F (WASHINGTON POST RADIO)/WASHINGTON to look for a better deal for 2007.
The team was recently sold by MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL to private ownership and has been rumored to be interested in a deal with crosstown RED ZEBRA BROADCASTING's soon-to-launch Sports trimulcast, although the RED ZEBRA trio still has no night signal in the heart of the market (the DISTRICT itself) and WTWP's combo covers the market, albeit with two signals, the 50 kw AM with problems towards the WEST and an FM covering the western suburbs in VIRGINIA.
