FCC Dismisses Challenge To Minnesota AM Application Preference

Objection Denied

The FCC has dismissed FIRESIDE MEDIA's application for review of the award of a dispositive preference to COLLEEN MCKINNEY's application for a new AM at BRAHAM, MN over FIRESIDE's application for a new AM at KIRBYVILLE, MO. 

FIRESIDE contended that enough distance exists between the two communities of license to allow both stations to be granted.  The Commission said that the two would cause nighttime interference to each other's signals.
