As BOSTON continues to recover from the terrorist bombings MONDAY (NET NEWS 4/15), more and more people and companies continue to find ways to help.
In the wake of the recent tragedy, GREATER MEDIA has suspended all on-air listener contesting for the remainder of this week on its BOSTON-based stations, including Top 40 WBQT (HOT 96.9), Country WKLB, AC WMJX (MAGIC 106.7), Alternative WBOS (RADIO 92.9) and Classic Hits WROR, and will be donating the money to THE ONE FUND BOSTON instead.
The new fund, announced by BOSTON Mayor TOM MENINO and MASSACHUSETTS Governor DEVAL PATRICK, has been created to help the people most affected by the tragic events.
"We discussed it with our team and GREATER MEDIA/BOSTON Market Manager ROB WILLIAMS and I felt that this was absolutely the appropriate thing to do in an effort to help all the individuals directly impacted by the tragic event that took place in our city," said Dir./Programming CADILLAC JACK.
