CUMULUS has also closed on the reacquisition of Urban AC WMGL (MAGIC @ 107.3)/RAVENEL-CHARLESTON, SC back from the LAST BASTION STATION TRUST as well, due to the move of Sports WNKT (107.5 THE GAME) has been moved to the COLUMBIA metro, giving CUMULUS, the ability to take WMGL back. Finally, CUMULUS has closed on the reacquisition of AC KRMW (WARM 94.9)/CEDARVILLE-FORT SMITH, AR and Urban AC WQQK (Q92)/GOODLETTSVILLE-NASHVILLE, TN back from trustee VOLT RADIO because changes in the FORT SMITH and NASHVILLE markets have enabled the company to take the stations back from the trust.
L&L Closes On Triad, Then Spins Fargo
And TRIAD BROADCASTING COMPANY, LLC (MONTEREY LICENSES, LLC, MISSISSIPPI MEDIA BROADCASTING, LLC, GO RADIO BROADCASTING, LLC, JMP RADIO GROUP, LLC, ADVENTURE COMMUNICATIONS, LLC and ADVENTURE COMMUNICATIONS, INC.) has closed on the sale of its stations to LARRY WILSON's L&L BROADCASTING, LLC for $21 million. TRIAD has announced that it will spin off the FARGO cluster obtained in the TRIAD deal -- Active Rock KQWB-F (Q98 ROCKS), Country KBMW-A, Hot AC KLTA (FM 105.1), Classic Rock KPFX (107.9 THE FOX), Oldies KQWB-A (TRUE OLDIES 1660 AM), and Country KVOX-F (FROGGY 99.9) -- to JAMES INGSTAD for $9.5 million.
WILSON said, "Strategically the sale of our FARGO stations makes a lot of sense for us and we are very happy that we were able to sell them to a local broadcaster with a long track record of success in the radio business.” INGSTAD, who sold his previous FARGO stations to MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS, added, “I am very happy to be able to continue my radio station involvement in FARGO.” INGSTAD's sale of Talk KFGO-A, Sports KVOX-A, Country KBVB (BOB 95 FM), Top 40 WDAY-F (Y94), Talk KRWK (101.9 TALK FM), and Adult Hits KMJO (104.7 POPSTER FM)/FARGO-MOORHEAD to MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS for $25 million has also just closed.
